First Chapters and Erotic Beginnings

I should start by saying this is blatant marketing. I think it’s fun (as I think all marketing should be) but it’s still a “plan” to get my books out there, so take it for what it is.

I recently discovered the “Publications” part of Medium and I’ve been having fun playing around with it. I’d like to eventually create an erotica publication with a bunch of great erotica writers, but for now I built out a simple way to share the first chapter from each of my books.

Figuring out how to find new readers, sell books, and generally make a name for yourself are three of the hardest tasks for a self-published author. And I suppose for a traditionally published author as well, although that’s still not a path I’ve gone down.

But for now, I have a new publication up on where I’ve started to share the full first chapters of many of my books. I only have eight or nine up right now, but I’ll keep filling it out until they’re all there. Or at least the ones I still like, which changes from day to do.

And if you’re an erotica writer and you’re be interested in having your stories in a new publication (which I’ve yet to name) then reach out to me and we’ll make it happen. Curation is always a challenge, especially with erotica, and I think there’s a good opportunity to share the things we love.

To be clear, I’ll still be posting new stories to my Guy New York Medium page. I’ll add new parts to my memoir, original stories, excerpts, works in progress, essays, and all those other good things.
