Miles and worlds apart
We found each other
whether you liked it or not
I did.

And even though

We are both shaving our skins
Giving up the ghosts
that catch us in nets
I’ll free you

If you want me to

Promises kept and broken
are every foundation
But we like to break
to build mountains

And the climb is High

Sitting on the river of dreams
Wishing to get our feet wet
Neither of us can swim
But our splashes are loud

In thundering forests

And the chasing ponies
that prance upstream
Are our favourite thing
To heckle.

So, laugh my dear

For life’s roses are picked
In ghostnets and splashes
On the highest mountain
with our magnetic click.
